Book Funnels and How to Build a Massive Following or How To Launch Worldwide by Jason P Doherty ***How to Launch Worldwide by Jason P Doherty provides useful instructions on how to build a large, targeted, international audience and following, set up book funnels, and ultimately sell books to people in multiple countries using Facebook, Kobo, and Amazon.*** HOW TO BUILD A MASSIVE FOLLOWING Build a huge targeted Facebook following with an Author or Book page using meme-like one-liner ads that invite viewers to Like your page. Make the appeal in six words or less. Example: Love Mysteries? Like my Page! - That's it. That's the entire text of the ad. Create a simple meme-like image to go along with the ad, with a one-liner split into two lines in the center of the image, in quotation marks, attribute it to yourself by writing a dash and your name under the quote, like this: "You can always count on yourself." - Jason P Doherty Pair the meme image with the 'Like my Page!' appeal when you set up your ad. Run the ad for 5 days with a $5 budget each day and get 1000 likes. Include people ages 13 - 30, who speak English (UK and US,) male and female, use at least 20 keywords associated with your genre. If your genre is poetry, include many genres of petry that are similar to yours in your demographic targeting. You can also use the names of authors that are similar to you, or books that are similar to yours, in your demographic targeting. The maximum cost of this ad will be $25, but these kinds of ads often spend less than their maximum budget before they complete their run, while still achieving fantastic results. First run the ad in India, where you are pretty much guaranteed to get hundreds of likes per day using this method. This proves to the Facebook algorithn that your ad works. Then run it in other countries. Try Australia and the UK. Then Canada and the United States. Do this over and over again with different similar looking ads. Do this over and over again focusing on one country at a time. In this way, you can gather thousands of fans worldwide to your Facebook page. HOW TO CREATE A BOOK FUNNEL THAT GENERATES SALES Put up a permafree bait-book on Kobo, that means starting a Kobo Writing Life author account and uploading what we are going to call your bait-book, then publish the same bait-book on KDP and get Amazon to price match it, you have to wait a few days, then go to your bait-book on Amazon and click the 'Know about a lower price?' button and tell them our book is free on Kobo and give them the link. The bait-book is like a mini-sampler your give to readers free to interest them in your paid book. Include a link to your paid book at the end of the bait-book, like this: "Did you like this book? Check out my full length book about publishing and book marketing by clicking HERE." Make the words a clickable link that takes them directly to the sales page for your paid book. The bait-book should be the same genre or subject as the book that you are actually selling. If you are selling a book about publishing, then the bait-book should be a book about book marketing, or writing tips, or innovative publiahing methods, etc. If your book is a poetry book, then consider creating a single poem or a three poem book as the bait--book that leads readers to your paid book. Your bait-book will usually be shorter than the paid book. Set up your paid book on Amazon. Use the methods explained in my book Magnify And Multiply, also free on the Author Kings Facebook Page. Now that the permafree book is in place, and the paid book is ready, it is time to launch. WORLDWIDE LAUNCH STRATEGY Make your paid book go live on Amazon on a Saturday. Set it up so that there is a free day promotion the next day, Sunday. Set up a Facebook ad, this time choosing the 'My Page Followers' or 'People Who Like My Page' option. Tell your audience about your free book in Ten words or less, like this: "Hey, my new poetry book is free today!" Again, use a simple meme-like ad photo that gives a single line from one of your books or poems, as long as the words are interesting or better yet, would elicit a 'Like' because the same instinct that would get you that 'Like' will get your readers to click on the button in your ad and get your permafree book. Here's another example of what the meme image for your Free Book Day ad could say: "It is better to give than receive." or "I love chocolate!" all kinds of agreeable, short phrases, mottos, one-liners, inspirational quotes, get results. Keep the text short. Keep the image meme-like. This will get people into your book funnel, by getting them to download your permafree book, and when they like that book, some of them will pay for your paid book. Launch the ad to your Facebook following. Go big. Spend $10 a day or more. When it comes to your book description for both the bait-book and the paid book, make sure that you mention Read this book Free on Kindle Unlimited - Order Now! as the VERY FIRST LINE of the description. A call to action is a great way to make a sale, and opening with one that offers value is exactly the same as asking for an email address in exchange for a free ebook: you are making an offer to someone who essentially loses nothing in the transaction while gaining a free ebook. This is a zero-loss win-win, which is the easiest kind of transaction to achieve. Observe the rewards of this process in the form of paid downloads of your book, as well as increased KNP page reads, which amount to about half a cent per page read. Hope this helps!
